Pastor Douglas K. Batchelder
Biography

Pastor Batchelder Picture

Raised in New Hampshire the son of a pastor, and grandson of a life-long missionary in Korea, Pastor Douglas Batchelder graduated from Philadelphia College of Bible in 1977 with highest honors, and the most outstanding Greek student award. He is a member of the Association of Bible Colleges Honor Society, and Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. He is currently doing graduate work at Philadelphia College of Bible in education.

Pastor Doug came to the Fellowship Church as Youth Pastor in 1978, having taught Christian high school prior to that. In addition to his pastoral duties of preaching and teaching, Pastor Batchelder serves as Administrator of the Phillipsburg Christian Academy. He has over 20 years of experience in ministry and Christian school education. He has been a broadcaster on both commercial and religious radio and religious television continuously since 1972, including global missionary shortwave radio.

Pastor Batchelder has been involved in recent years in shaping public policy regarding nonpublic school education by serving as a member and past chair of the New Jersey Department of Education Advisory Committee for Nonpublic Schools in Trenton and has been president of the New Jersey chapter of the Council for American Private Education. He has been active in both state and national educational policy issues. He also has served as the district 3 representative of the Association of Christian Schools International, advising schools in the New Jersey and metropolitan New York City area.

Pastor Batchelder has lectured on public policy and Christian education issues at conferences of Christian school educators in the Northeast, and has been published in national and international religious publications. He and his wife, Jane, have six children and have made Phillipsburg, New Jersey their home since 1978.
