The Issues
Parents need to be concerned with two issues regarding the education of their children:
1) What their children are learning.
2) Who is teaching their children to learn.
God says, "...everyone after he has been fully trained will be like his teacher." (Luke 6:40) As important as the "what is being taught" is, God makes it clear that students learn the teacher's life, as they learn the curriculum.
A child is not trained "in the way he should go," (Proverbs 22:6), unless that child is being taught God's Truth by teachers who believe God's Truth and live it themselves.
God has made parents responsible for what their children learn.
What are your children learning?
And who is training them?
Jesus, in training His disciples, brought together unrelated people from diverse backgrounds and taught them together in a contextual setting. We believe this social environment is critical to successful Christian education and that the Christian school is uniquely equipped for teaching truth in a social setting.
Our Purpose
Proverbs 9:10 says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."
As an educational ministry of the Fellowship Church, Phillipsburg Christian Academy believes that wisdom for living cannot be developed in a learning environment which does not build into its entire program fear of the Lord and understanding of God's truth.
At Phillipsburg Christian Academy we purpose to teach, not just the facts needed to function in the world, but the Truths of God in every area of life.
A child's school must reinforce the training of his godly home. Phillipsburg Christian Academy desires to complement the home, not compete with it.
Our Faculty
Realizing that teachers powerfully shape the values of students, Phillipsburg Christian Academy carefully chooses its faculty. Only born again men and women of spiritual maturity are selected to be your children's teachers. Our teachers' academic training and godly example make them effective communicators of Truth and excellent models for your children.

Our Curriculum
Pre-Kindergarten (age 4 by October 1)
Designed to make the transition from home to school pleasant and stimulating, the pre-K program includes: learning to get along with others, recognizing numbers and letters and Scripture memorization.
Kindergarten (age 5 by October 1)
As a base year for our entire program, kindergarten concentrates on phonics, reading, readiness, numbers, printing, Bible, Scripture memorization and proper behavior. Most K students can read single syllable words and simple sentences by the end of Kindergarten.
Grades 1-8
At Phillipsburg Christian Academy, the integration of Scriptural Truth is the basic concern of the curriculum. We emphasize the basic "reading, writing, and arithmetic" and give ample instruction is science, arts and history, while seeking to develop critical thinking skills in students. Music lessons are available in band and stringed instruments.
The application of God's Truth to education fosters excellence. Therefore, Phillipsburg Christian Academy maintains high scholastic and discipline standards. Our students historically have tested well above the averages in standardized testing. Phillipsburg Christian Academy maintains high scholastic and discipline standards, yet seeks to provide Christian education to a wide range of students, including those with learning challenges.
A realistic understanding of our world and its people requires the foundation of God's Word and Truth. That is why God's Word is the core of our curriculum.
Our History
Founded in 1976 by the Fellowship Church and First Baptist Church of Phillipsburg, Phillipsburg Christian Academy became, by mutual consent, an integral, essential, and inseparable ministry of the Fellowship Church in 1983. The school is governed by a school commission consisting of Elders of Fellowship Church, faculty of Phillipsburg Christian Academy and parents of students attending Phillipsburg Christian Academy. PCA is a founding school of Lehigh Valley Christian High School and encourages our graduates to attend this regional Christian High School.

Our Finances
Being a direct, essential ministry of the Fellowship Church, Phillipsburg Christian Academy is part of the church's non-profit religious corporation. We do not accept any local, State, or Federal funds. Our operations are funded by tuition, which is lower than 75% of the schools in the northeast region. Also, we are greatly dependent upon gifts to cover the costs of this ministry. Tuition alone does not cover all our expenses.
Interested individuals are encouraged to contribute to Phillipsburg Christian Academy and to give to our scholarship fund for deserving students. The finances of the school are maintained as a separate account within the church, so funds given to the school are used within the school. Checks should be made payable to Phillipsburg Christian Academy.
PCA Commission
The Phillipsburg Christian Academy Commission consists of PCA administrators, staff and parents, and members of Fellowship Church.
