Which part of town has the most pollution in the form of airborne particles? Hypothesis:The part of twon that has the most businesses will have the most pollution because there is more traffic and people. Procedure:
Select ten places around town to put cards. Draw the same size circle on each card. Smear a thin layer of vaseline in the circle. Then glue popsicle sticks onto the back of the cards. Go around town and stick the cards in the ground in the ten places. Let sit for 48 hours. Then go collect the cards, and measure all the particles on the card with a magnifying glass.
Low number of particles: My hypothesis was correct. The places with the most businesses had the most particles. What I can do in the future is find out where the pollution comes from, such as cars, factories, and how to reduce it. Biblical Application:God wants us to be good stewards of His creation. Deuteronomy 11:12 says, "It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to the end of the year." God created the Earth and gave us the gift of life. He expects us to do our part by caring for the Earth and the air around us. We can do this by keeping our surroundings as unpolluted as we can, and by learning as much as we can to improve the quality of our air. |
