Problem to be Solved:
Which plastic kitchen garbage bag holds the most weight?
Hypothesis:
The Hefty garbage bags will hold the most weight because Hefty claims to make "heavy duty" garbage bags.
Variables:
The variables are four brands of kitchen garbage bags:
Hefty Basic Kitchen Garbage Bags (49 liters, $.116 per bag)
Glad Tall Kitchen Garbage Bags (49.2 liters, $.123 per bag)
Wal-mart Great Value Kitchen Garbage Bags (49.2 liters, $.114 per bag)
Giant Brand Kitchen Garbage Bags (49.2 liters, $.1145 per bag)
Control Group:
The control group is Giant Brand Kitchen Garbage Bags, which we use at home.
Equipment:
Three kitchen garbage bags from each of four brands
Three 5.67 kg barbell weights
Four 2.268 kg barbell weights
Four 1.134 kg barbell weights
Eight rolls of dimes = 0.142 kg
Four rolls of nickels = 0.227 kg
Eight rolls of pennies = 0.198 kg
Five-gallon bucket
Three bungee cords
Triple-beam balance
Procedure:
1] Weigh each roll of coins on the triple-beam balance.
2] Place a five-gallon bucket on a level surface.
3] Slide the bag over the bucket with the bottom seam over the center of the bucket.
4] Place three bungee cords around the top of the bucket to hold the bag in place.
5] Place weights, starting with the largest, in the middle of the bag until the bag breaks.
6] Add up the total weight.
7] Repeat steps 3-6 for three bags of each brand.
8] Average the weights for each brand.
Results:
Hefty brand held the most weight with Giant brand coming in a near second place. Hefty brand held 29% more weight on average than the brand that held the least weight on average.
Conclusion:
Hefty Basic Kitchen Garbage Bags held more weight on average than the other three brands. I could improve my experiment by using a different type of measurement such as water to determine whether the bags would hold the same weight.

Everything was accounted for by numbers and weight, and the entire weight was recorded at that time. Ezra 8:34
This verse means that Jesus weighs us by our faith and trust in him. Also, he can take away our burdens like the grabage bag when it breaks because it had too much weight. He can take away the burdens that we cannot stand.
